NJ EMT Exam Registration Information
If your EMT certification has been expired for less than 2 years, you
can take a Core 13 EMT Refresher class and then take the
written exam. Be advised that the exam is now the NREMT (National
Registry of EMTs) exam and is reported to be more difficult to pass -
recent failure rates have been high. You MUST read an EMT textbook
before taking the exam in order to do well.
If your certification has been expired for greater than 24 months,
then you must take a full EMT course. This is a change from the previous
regulations.
