NJ EMT Exam Registration Information

If your EMT certification has been expired for less than 2 years, you can take a Core 13 EMT Refresher class and then take the written exam.  Be advised that the exam is now the NREMT (National Registry of EMTs) exam and is reported to be more difficult to pass - recent failure rates have been high.  You MUST read an EMT textbook before taking the exam in order to do well.

  1. Register for a student ID number (if you don't already have one) at www.njoemscert.com
  2. Take a Core 13 EMT Refresher
  3. Register for a test at www.njoemscert.com
  4. Arrive on time.  Examinees have been turned away for being 5 minutes late!
  5. Bring your original CPR card, pencils, and photo ID.  Letters from CPR instructors are not accepted.
  6. STUDY!
