Our Instructors
ETC employs many experienced instructors. Our core instructors
are:
Kenneth G. Lavelle, MD, NREMT-P
Dr. Lavelle is the founder and director of ETC. He has been involved in
emergency services since 1987 as an EMT, Paramedic, Training Officer and
Director of Operations. He previously served as Chief of the Hammonton
Rescue Squad, a combination paid-volunteer EMS/Rescue department in
Atlantic County, New Jersey. Prior to this position he served as Director
of Operations for the private ambulance service providing EMS to Atlantic
City, NJ. Ken is an instructor of EMT continuing education, CPR, EVOC,
ICS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, Infectious Control, Hazardous Materials. He is an
Emergency Medicine resident physician at Thomas Jefferson University
Hospital in Philadelphia, and currently serves as a Chief Resident.
Mike Storck, FF/HMT/EMT-D
Mike is the Rescue Training Coordinator for ETC. He has over 19 years
experience as an EMT, Rescue Technician and Firefighter with several
departments in New Jersey. He currently serves as Assistant Chief of a
combination EMS/Rescue department. Mike is an instructor in Hazardous
Materials and Rescue classes. He was named the 2003 Career EMT of the
year by the New Jersey Dept of Health, Office of EMS.
Sandy Mallette, FF/HMT/EMT-Instructor
Sandy coordinates the EMT Refresher programs for ETC, teaching over 20
programs per year. She is a NJ certified EMT Instructor, firefighter and
Haz Mat Technician.
Lori Taraskus, NREMT-P/EMT-Instructor
Lori is a Firefighter, Paramedic and CPR/EMT Instructor for ETC.
