Medical Direction
Dr. Ken Lavelle, in conjunction with a major Delaware Valley
healthcare system, is able to provide EMS Medical Direction to fire and
EMS agencies in New Jersey. This program is considered active medical
direction that will assist your agency and your staff in providing
quality care to your patients, while at the same time meeting regulatory
requirements. Dr. Lavelle and associates will spend time regularly in
your district, participating in scene response, training, quality
improvement, research, system development and other aspects of EMS
operations. These activities, particularly the capability of scene
response, are not typically accomplished by others who can provide
medical direction.
This program will encompass all areas of medical direction, and not
just an isolated portion such as the Epi-Pen program. Therefore there is
a cost involved, which is variable based on the size of the department
and specific responsibilities, but will generally begin around $12,000
per year.
